Ghana High Commissioner Sabah Zita Benson Named African Ambassador of the Year 2026

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, has been honoured as “The African Ambassador of the Year 2026” at the 21st edition of The Voice Achievers Awards in London.

The prestigious award was presented at a ceremony held on Friday, August 21, 2026, in recognition of Mrs Benson’s leadership, diplomatic service and contribution to strengthening Ghana’s engagement with the United Kingdom, the Ghanaian diaspora and the wider international community.

The Ghana High Commission in London, in congratulating the High Commissioner, described the recognition as a testament to her exemplary leadership and dedicated service to Ghana. Mrs Benson’s award also highlights efforts to deepen diplomatic and people-to-people relations while promoting Ghana’s interests and strengthening the country’s presence within the international community.

The Voice Achievers Awards, now in its 21st edition, celebrates Africans and individuals of African descent who have demonstrated excellence and made meaningful contributions across various fields.
