Ghana’s Black Maidens have arrived in Morocco to begin an intensive training camp as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The team arrived in Casablanca with a 35-member delegation comprising 21 players and 14 officials for the two-week training camp.
The camp is expected to provide the technical team with the opportunity to fine-tune preparations, work on the team’s tactics and build cohesion ahead of the global tournament. As part of the preparations, the Black Maidens are scheduled to play an international friendly against China during their stay in Morocco.
Ghana secured qualification to the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after overcoming Senegal on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their final qualifying tie. The Black Maidens have been drawn in Group C alongside Canada, Brazil and Norway.
With the World Cup set to be hosted in Morocco, the intensive training camp will form an important part of Ghana’s preparations as the team looks to make a strong impression on the global stage.
