A high-powered delegation from the Wulensi Traditional Area, led by the Regent, Osumanu Salifu Wumbei, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at the Ministry’s offices in Accra.

The visit centered on discussions surrounding key security and developmental challenges affecting communities within the Wulensi Traditional Area and the broader Northern Region. The delegation expressed concerns about emerging security threats, the need for an enhanced security presence, and collaborative measures to safeguard lives and property.

In his remarks, the Regent emphasized that peace and stability remain essential foundations for development, urging stronger cooperation between the government, security agencies, and traditional authorities. He highlighted the critical role traditional rulers play in mobilizing community support, promoting harmony, and facilitating the successful implementation of development initiatives at the local level.

Responding to the delegation, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak reaffirmed the Government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security across all regions of the country. He commended the leadership of the Wulensi Traditional Area for their proactive approach and reiterated that the Ministry continues to collaborate closely with law enforcement agencies and local stakeholders to address community-specific security concerns.

The Interior Minister further stressed the importance of continuous dialogue and partnership between traditional institutions and government entities. Such engagements, he noted, are vital for fostering trust, deepening local governance structures, and driving inclusive national development.

The meeting forms part of the Government’s broader agenda to strengthen partnerships with traditional authorities, ensuring that communities are actively involved in identifying solutions to local challenges. It also reflects ongoing efforts to promote peace, stability, and socio-economic progress across Ghana.
