President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Libreville, Gabon, to participate in the inaugural International Forum for Innovation and Development, a high-level gathering of world leaders, policymakers, investors, and technology experts.

The forum, held under the patronage of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, is themed “Political Stability, Business Climate, and Artificial Intelligence: Catalysts for Growth.” It aims to explore how governance, innovation, and emerging technologies can drive sustainable economic transformation across Africa.

Organisers are also using the occasion to inaugurate the newly constructed Omar Bongo Ondimba Congress Centre, which will serve as a venue for international dialogue and a hub for future global engagements.

The forum is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Libreville Declaration, a strategic document outlining commitments by participating leaders to strengthen governance systems, promote transparency, and accelerate digital integration across the continent.

President Mahama’s presence at the forum highlights his continued commitment to fostering collaboration between governments and the private sector. His participation aligns with broader efforts to promote inclusive development, attract investment, and position Africa as a competitive player in the global digital economy
