Popcaan Crowned “Nana Okofo Arko Kese” by Aseibu Traditional Council

Internationally reggae and dancehall star Popcaan has been honored with a prestigious traditional title by the Aseibu Traditional Council in Ghana’s Central Region.


The Jamaican artiste was enstooled as a sub-chief and given the stool name Nana Okofo Arko Kese, marking a significant moment that bridges music, culture, and heritage between Jamaica and Ghana.


The honor reflects the Council’s recognition of Popcaan’s influence beyond entertainment. Known globally for his contributions to reggae and dancehall music, the award-winning artiste has also built strong cultural ties with Ghana, frequently expressing admiration for African heritage and traditions.
