Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu in Stable Condition After Falling Ill at GIMPA

Hon. Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, is in stable condition and receiving medical attention after taking ill while delivering a presentation at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Parliament confirmed this in a press release issued following the circulation of a video on social media showing the MP falling ill during the event. According to the statement, the lawmaker received immediate assistance at the venue before being transferred to a medical facility, where he is currently under the care of his medical team.

Parliament expressed appreciation to the management and staff of GIMPA, the medical personnel who attended to the MP, and all those who responded promptly to the incident. The House also thanked members of the public for their prayers and messages of goodwill following news of the incident.

Meanwhile, Parliament has urged the public and the media to refrain from sharing the video of the incident out of respect for the MP and his family. It further cautioned against speculation about the cause of the incident or the lawmaker's medical condition, while appealing to the public to respect the privacy of his family during this period.
