Lifeless Body Found at Ekon Junction in Cape Coast

A lifeless body was discovered during the early hours of today at Ekon Junction in Cape Coast, sparking concern among residents in the area.

Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and the Central Regional Police Service were quickly called to the scene and subsequently conveyed the body to the morgue for preservation and further investigations.

Speaking with TW News at the scene, the Assembly Member for the area, Bernard Baidoo, explained that the incident was first reported to him by a resident in the early hours of the day. He said he immediately alerted NADMO and the regional police, who responded promptly. 

He further noted that such an incident is unusual in the area, adding that authorities will ensure a thorough investigation is conducted to determine the cause of death and prevent similar occurrences in the future. Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
