The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah has reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment that supports investment, accelerates technological advancement, and promotes partnerships capable of driving inclusive growth and long-term prosperity across the continent.

He said this when he delivered an address on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama at the 2026 Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) in Accra.

The event, Held under the theme “From Borders to Bridges: Driving Intra-African Trade and Development through Energy and Technology Services”, brought together Heads of State, Ministers, policymakers, leaders of industry, development partners, and key stakeholders from across the continent.

The Chief of Staff highlighted the importance of deeper regional cooperation, innovation, and infrastructure integration in advancing Africa’s development aspirations.

He noted that energy and technology remain central to unlocking industrial growth, strengthening intra-African trade, and positioning the continent for sustainable economic transformation within an increasingly competitive global landscape.

"The conversations at AETC 2026 served as an important reminder that Africa’s future will be shaped not by isolation, but through collaboration, shared vision, and strategic partnerships that bridge borders and connect opportunities for our people," he said.

He also commended the organisers, development partners, industry leaders, and participants for advancing dialogue and action toward a more integrated, innovative, and energy-secure Africa.
