Ghana's Black Queens cruised into the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a 4-0 win over Egypt in the second leg of their qualifier at Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

The result gave Ghana a 7-0 aggregate victory, following a 3-0 win in the first leg. Egypt started brightly and twice hit the post in the first half, but Ghana struggled to create clear chances before the break.

The hosts returned with renewed intensity and broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute through Doris Boaduwaa, who added a second three minutes later after combining with Grace Asantewaa and Princess Marfo. Comfort Yeboah made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, and Boaduwaa completed her hat-trick in stoppage time.

The win secures Ghana's place at the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco, which would serve as a qualifier for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil. Ghana is aiming to build on their bronze medal finish at the 2025 WAFCON.
