Public basic schools to go on mid-term break from October 31 to November 3 – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that all basic schools across the country will observe a mid-term break on Friday, October 31, and Monday, November 3, 2025.
The Public Relations Officer of the GES, Daniel Fenyi,in a statement issued on Thursday said there will be no classes for both teachers and pupils on the two days, which have already been included in the academic calendar.
“Basic schools will, for the first time, observe a mid-term break on Friday, October 31, and Monday, November 3, as already captured on the academic calendar,” the statement said.
Mr Fenyi said the short break would allow teachers and pupils to rest and recharge for the remainder of the term. The directive applies to all public and private basic schools operating under the Ghana Education Service.
