Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed that the technical staff maintained an active operational schedule since the conclusion of the international tournament.

GFA Communication Director Henry Asante Twum outlined the timeline for the upcoming roster release during a media briefing.

“He will announce the squad before he arrives but he is working,” Twum told 3Sports. “He has been working since we ended the World Cup. He will soon submit the squad list and then we will make it public.”

Preparations will accelerate immediately after the head coach travels back into the country to settle final logistical matters.

“He will come back home, fine-tune the petty things and then we can begin preparations for the AFCON qualifiers,” Twum added.

Redemption Campaign And Group C Schedule

The upcoming qualification series carries profound significance for the senior national team after a historic absence from the 2025 continental showpiece in Morocco, which marked the first time the country missed the finals since 2004.

Ghana enters Group C of the 2027 qualifiers facing a demanding slate of international fixtures. The schedule opens with a high-stakes match against Côte d’Ivoire on September 24.

The team will subsequently face The Gambia three days later on September 27, with Somalia completing the group stage.
