Ghanaian music executive, Richie Mensah has been named a voting member of the Recording Academy, which is in charge of organizing the Grammy Awards.
In order to confirm his appointment, the successful music producer and CEO of the Lynx Group of Companies shared an artwork from the Recording Academy. In a Facebook post, Richie captioned the artwork, “thank you Recording Academy for the honor.”
In addition to his own musical endeavors, Richie Mensah has created other celebrities from his stables. Talents like Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Asem, Eazzy, MzVee, DopeNation, Zigi, and OJ Blaq (deceased) are among many who have emerged from his Lynx Entertainment record company.
Ghanaians are thrilled by his appointment, seeing it as a major turning point for the nation’s music industry. Although some Ghanaians already belong to the Academy but have not disclosed their membership, many think Richie’s inclusion will help local talent find even greater opportunities.
