President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in members of the National African Peer Review Mechanism Governing Council (NAPRM-GC), describing the mechanism as a crucial tool for assessing Ghana’s progress and identifying interventions to strengthen governance.
The ceremony took place on February 10, with the President highlighting the Council’s key role in leading the second-generation review of Ghana next week, scheduled to coincide with the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
“We’re willing to do that and we’ll be available to lead that process,” President Mahama assured, emphasizing the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
