Minister in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has assured Ghanaians that the Mahama administration values transparency and is addressing public concerns over procurement in road projects.
Speaking on the KeyPoints with Alfred Ocansey on April 4, Kwakye Ofosu stressed that the government does not see the Fourth Estate as a hostile entity, praising their investigative work and collaboration over the years. He explained that all allegations raised, including single-sourced contracts and cost discrepancies, are being carefully examined, with the Ministry of Roads required to provide detailed responses.
“The President wants to ensure that public finances are used properly. Any questions raised are examined, and necessary measures are implemented to prevent recurrence,” he said. He urged the media and public to stick to factual reporting and avoid unnecessary embellishments while the investigations continue.
Kwakye Ofosu emphasized that the government remains committed to accountability and will ensure that public concerns are addressed transparently.
