The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a list of foreign nationals, including Ghanaian citizens, arrested and facing deportation under the country's ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

The DHS described those listed as among the most serious cases being processed for removal, saying the arrests form part of the Trump administration's commitment to carrying out mass deportations, beginning with individuals classified as high-priority criminal cases.

"Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump's promise and carrying out mass deportations  starting with the worst of the worst," the department stated.

The development comes as the United States intensifies its immigration enforcement operations across the country, targeting undocumented individuals with criminal records or outstanding removal orders.

Ghanaian nationals identified on the list are among several African citizens facing deportation as part of the broader crackdown.

The Ghana Mission in the United States has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
