The Oguaa Project has approved a GH¢156,000 grant to Tima’s Kreations to provide vocational skills training for 100 women in the Oguaa community.
Disbursement of the grant has commenced, paving the way for the implementation of a structured training programme aimed at equipping beneficiaries with practical, marketable and income-generating skills. The initiative forms part of the Oguaa Project’s efforts to promote women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods within the community.
Through the programme, the beneficiaries will receive practical training designed to enhance their prospects for self-employment, business creation and improved household incomes. The Oguaa Project said vocational training remains an important pathway to economic opportunity and community development, noting that investing in women’s skills and enterprise potential can contribute to small-business growth and stronger household livelihoods.
The programme will be implemented and monitored over a 12-month grant period. Its impact will be assessed based on areas including beneficiary participation, completion rates, application of acquired skills and income-generating outcomes.
Following the assessment, the Oguaa Project said it may consider renewing or extending its support to Tima’s Kreations in 2027, subject to satisfactory results and the availability of funding. The Project has congratulated Tima’s Kreations on the partnership and expressed optimism that the initiative will create lasting benefits for the 100 women, their families and the wider Oguaa community.
