Ghana has officially launched the Ghana Trade House in the United Kingdom, marking a significant step in the country's strategy to expand its non-traditional exports and strengthen the global presence of Made-in-Ghana products.

The launch represents a major milestone in Ghana's trade and investment agenda, providing a dedicated platform to connect Ghanaian businesses with buyers, distributors and investors across the UK and international markets.

The initiative builds on the success of a smaller Trade House established at the Ghana High Commission in March 2026. That pilot has already delivered tangible results, recording its first commercial success with an order to Scotland that was fulfilled on the day of the official launch.

Spearheaded by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the Ghana Trade House will function as a strategic trade hub to showcase Ghanaian products, facilitate business-to-business partnerships and create new market opportunities for exporters.

The facility is expected to support Ghanaian producers by improving market access, increasing the visibility of locally manufactured goods and promoting value-added exports. It also aligns with Ghana's broader objective of diversifying export earnings while reducing dependence on traditional export commodities.

Officials believe the Trade House will strengthen trade relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom, opening new avenues for investment and collaboration while positioning Ghanaian products more competitively in the international marketplace.

The successful launch underscores Ghana's commitment to driving export-led economic growth and enhancing the global appeal of Made-in-Ghana products through strategic international partnerships.
