The Osabarimba Royal Awards 2026 took place at the Oguaa Emintsimadze Palace, celebrating individuals and institutions whose impact and contributions have strengthened the social, cultural, educational, and economic fabric of Cape Coast. Held under the theme “Celebrating Royalty, Impact, Legacy & Culture,” the event highlighted the achievements of trailblazers across business, education, health, media, tourism, religion, and indigenous institutions.

 

 

HONORARY AWARDS

 

Mrs. Charlotte Osei (Nana Ama Kesson), Nkum Ankobia Hema - Recognised for supporting the Esuekyir community and successfully organising the Afahye Festival for two consecutive years.


Hon. Nana Kweku Awuku Jnr., CCMA Assembly Member - Honoured for his distinguished three-term tenure as the longest-serving Assembly Member and Presiding Member of the Asikafoanbatem/Antem Electoral Area.


Mrs. Elizabeth Obese, Founder, Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOE) - For empowering youth in Nkanjoa and surrounding communities with essential life skills, including computer literacy.


Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO, Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) - Recognised for supporting tourism development in Cape Coast.


Mr. Charles Buabin, Central Regional Manager, GTA - Honoured for his role in coordinating tourism activities in the Central Region.


Ridge Royal Hotel - For initiating and sponsoring the Osabarimba Royal Awards over the years.


Madam Nana Akua A. Mensah Bonsu, Primetime Limited - For hosting the National Mathematics and Science Quiz (NMSQ) in Cape Coast and promoting the city to the world.


Mrs. Grace Esummanba Esumman Mensah - Recognised for supporting the hosting of NMSQ in Cape Coast and showcasing the city globally.
