Chris Brown has received an eight-month suspended prison sentence over a 2023 attack at Tape nightclub in London.
The singer pleaded guilty to affray after prosecutors said he struck music producer Abraham Diaw twice with a glass bottle. Diaw suffered head and knee injuries and required hospital treatment.
Brown’s vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, also pleaded guilty and received a four-month suspended sentence. Both men must pay £1,500 in costs.
The sentences are suspended for 12 months, meaning neither man will serve time immediately unless they commit another offence. Brown’s guilty plea led to more serious charges being dropped.
The case has renewed scrutiny of Brown’s previous legal troubles and raised questions about accountability for high-profile celebrities.
