Precise AgroProcessing Limited and Carboneers Empower Farmers to Transform Ghana's Cassava Value Chain

Farmers, agribusiness stakeholders, and industry players gathered at the Ridge Royal Hotel in Cape Coast for an impactful engagement organized by Precise AgroProcessing Limited in partnership with Carboneers with the theme "BIOCARH FOR A RESILIENT CENTRAL REGION".
The event focused on empowering farmers and redefining the cassava value chain through innovative processing methods, sustainable agricultural practices, and value addition.
The initiative sought to equip farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to increase productivity, improve product quality, and unlock new market opportunities within Ghana's growing cassava industry. Participants were introduced to modern approaches that can enhance the economic value of cassava while promoting environmentally sustainable farming practices.
Speaking on its mission, Mr. Ato Ogoo, the Chief Executive Officer of Precise AgroProcessing Limited highlighted its commitment to transforming the cassava value chain through innovative processing and value addition. The company produces premium cassava-based products including High-Quality Cassava Flour, food-grade starch, and animal feed to meet increasing market demand. Through collaboration, modern technology, and operational excellence, Precise AgroProcessing Limited continues to empower farmers, improve efficiency, and ensure quality throughout every stage of production.

Carboneers, the event's development partner, shared its vision of creating sustainable agricultural systems while addressing climate change. Founded in January 2023 by Mart and Berend after 18 months of intensive research and consultancy work, Carboneers focuses on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) solutions through innovative biochar technologies. The organization works closely with partners in developing countries that have strong agricultural sectors, enabling farming communities to benefit from sustainable climate-smart practices.

Since its establishment , Mr. Daniel Gordon a representative of Carboneers has expanded its operations across multiple countries, including India and Ghana. The organization has grown into an international team with members based in India, the Netherlands, and the United States. Through its projects, Carboneers aims to support farmers while contributing to global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve soil health.
During the engagement, participants learned about opportunities within cassava processing, sustainable farming methods, and innovative solutions that can increase income while promoting environmental conservation. The partnership between Precise AgroProcessing Limited and Carboneers demonstrates a shared commitment to building resilient agricultural value chains that benefit both farmers and the wider economy.

Looking ahead, Carboneers has set an ambitious target of achieving one million tons of carbon sequestration annually by 2027. This goal underscores the organization's dedication to combating climate change through sustainable agricultural innovations and empowering farming communities across the Global South.
