Osabarimba Dr. Nana Kwesi Atta II Marks 86th Birthday at Emintsimadze Palace

Osabarimba Dr. Nana Kwesi Atta II, Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional Area, has marked his 86th birthday with a dignified celebration at the historic Emintsimadze Palace in Cape Coast.
The occasion brought together traditional rulers, family members, heads of institutions, community elders, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the life, leadership, and legacy of the revered paramount chief. The celebration reflected deep respect for tradition, culture, and the enduring contributions of Osabarimba Dr. Nana Kwesi Atta II to Oguaa and Ghana as a whole.
According to the traditional council's Chief of Staff, the celebration was put together by the traditional council, various heads of the security services in Cape Coast, and some religious bodies in Cape Coast to celebrate Nana's milestone.
The celebration started with a special church service, followed by some congratulatory messages form reps from the traditional council, and other institutions. Speaking at the celebration, Osabarimba thanked everyone for giving him such great moments, and taking parts of his 86th birthday celebration. He also added that, he is very thankful for all the well wishing messages, gifts and prayers.
Prayers were offered for continued good health, long life, and strength as he continues to guide his people with experience and foresight. The milestone celebration served not only as a birthday observance but also as a moment of reflection on decades of traditional leadership and service.
Known for his wisdom, calm leadership, and commitment to peace and development, the Osabarimba Dr. Nana Kwesi Atta II's reign has been characterized by cultural preservation, unity, and advocacy for educatiion and social progress in Cape Coast, and Ghana earning him an appointment as a "Member of Council of State" by the current Government of Ghana.
Over the years, Osabarimba Dr. Nana Kwesi Atta II has played a vital role in safeguarding the heritage of Oguaa while encouraging its growth in a changing world. His reign has strengthened the relevance of traditional authority in contemporary Ghana, showing that chieftaincy can remain dignified, thoughtful, and forward-looking.
