The Minister of Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, earlier this week, led a Ghanaian delegation to Beijing for a high-level bilateral engagement with the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China.

He said the meeting marked a significant step forward in law enforcement collaboration between our two nations, aimed at deepening security cooperation and sharing best practices in crime prevention, counter-terrorism, and public safety management.

“I underscored Ghana’s long-standing diplomatic relations with China, which date back to the very dawn of our independence.

“I emphasized that this visit reflects our shared commitment to building stronger institutional partnerships that will enhance capacity building, technological exchange, and joint efforts to address transnational security challenges,” he wrote on Facebook after the meeting.

China’s Public Security Minister, Wang Xiaobong, commended Ghana’s dedication to global peace and acknowledged the joint strides being made by both countries to contribute to international security.

This bilateral engagement sets the stage for a renewed era of cooperation, drawing strength from our historical friendship and forging new pathways for mutual growth and stability.
