Airstrip and Agricultural Village to Be Constructed in Cape Coast

Betty King International Ministries hosted the Cape Coast Business Summit on Sunday, May 31, at Pempamsie Hotel, 2nd Ridge, bringing together traditional leaders, business executives, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss opportunities for economic growth and development in the Central Region.


The summit featured notable speakers including the Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II; Nigerian businessman Mr. Tonye Patrick Cole; Mr. Paul Allen; Hon. George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South; Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, Central Regional Minister; Hon. Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North; and Hon. George Justice Arthur, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast.


Discussions centered on entrepreneurship, investment opportunities, innovation, and strategies to position Cape Coast as a leading business and economic hub in Ghana. Delivering her address, Rev. Betty King revealed plans for the construction of an airstrip and an agricultural village in the Central Region. 


She described the projects as transformational initiatives aimed at boosting investment, agriculture, tourism, and economic activity in the region. Addressing participants at the summit, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II emphasized the need for individuals and communities to leave behind unproductive attitudes and embrace innovation, purpose-driven leadership, and hard work while putting God first in all development efforts. 


He stressed that sustainable progress can only be achieved when people are committed to productivity, discipline, and a shared vision for growth. Rev. Betty King further assured residents of Cape Coast and the Central Region that the sod-cutting ceremony for the proposed Airstrip and Agricultural Village is scheduled for December 2026.


The summit concluded with a renewed commitment among stakeholders to collaborate in advancing economic development and creating sustainable opportunities for the people of the Central Region.
