President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned the newly completed Ohiaba CHPS Compound in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese [AAK] District and presented essential medical equipment to the facility. The donation is expected to support quality healthcare delivery for residents in Ohiaba and surrounding communities.
Speaking during the handover as part of the #ResettingGhana tour of the Central Region, President Mahama reaffirmed government’s commitment to expanding access to healthcare. He said this will be done through the construction of more CHPS compounds nationwide and the deployment of trained health professionals to serve rural communities.
Health officials say the Ohiaba facility will improve maternal and child healthcare, disease screening, and access to primary healthcare services for the district.
