Cape Coast Mayor Concludes Three-Day Educational Tour of 12 Schools

The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, has concluded a three-day educational tour of 12 Senior High Schools and technical institutions across the Cape Coast Metropolis.

The tour was aimed at engaging school authorities, identifying challenges confronting the institutions and providing practical support to improve the learning environment.

The Mayor visited Holy Child Girls’ SHS, Mfantsipim School, St. Augustine’s College, Adisadel College, Wesley Girls’ High School, Ghana National College, University Practice SHS, Cape Coast Technical Institute, Efutu SHS, Academy of Christ the King, Aggrey Memorial SHS and Oguaa Secondary Technical High School.

As part of the initiative, the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly distributed dustbins and streetlights to selected schools to support sanitation and improve safety within and around the school environments.

The interventions are expected to contribute to cleaner campuses, enhanced security and more conducive conditions for teaching and learning.

The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly says the initiative reflects its commitment to engaging educational institutions directly and responding to practical needs identified within the metropolis.

The three-day tour was conducted under the theme: “Cleaner Schools. Safer Schools. Stronger Education.”
